Teachers And Peers
The latest research I found, showed that only 16% of schools across England employ over a fifth of their teachers from ethnic minority groups. This means that children from ethnic backgrounds are under-represented in schools. Due to cultural differences and a lack of diversity training within the education system, many of these children are misunderstood and find themselves being excluded from schools at a high rate.
Because of a lack of diversity within many schools across the UK, children from black and ethnic backgrounds may not feel integrated into the school environment.
